Ladies 2nds 4 v 2 Warwick 4ths

Atherstone Ladies 2nd team had their first home match of the League season against Warwick 4th team. The team has a thorough warm up and started the game off well for the first 10 minutes.

Against the run of play, Warwick broke from the half way line and scored in the 12th minute. Howver, the side picked their heads up and equalised with a goal from the top of the D scored by Tara Harrison in the 20th minute.
There then followed a period of equal play from both teams until Warwick made a fast break from the half way line and scored once again in the 25th minute.
Just before half time, a good break from Freya Webley from the half way line, released the ball just outside the D for Tara Harrison to score the equaliser in the 32 minute. Good draw for half time.
At the start of the second half Camille Purnell-Mullick played a more defensive role which solidified the whole defence. This resulted in very few chances for the Warwick side. The Adders then took the lead follwoing a good run from Tara Harrison who slipped the ball to Gracie Brookes in front of the goal keeper and placed it in the goal from a rebound in the 50th minute.
Having failed at short corners, Jemima Baddow came up who controlled the ball and secured our win with a goal in the 69th minute.
