Adders U10's Victory

Sunday the 1st October 2017 saw the first of the Warwickshire Mini Hockey tournaments of the season with the U10 and U12s travelling over to Sutton. Both teams had a number of new faces in their sides. The majority of the U10s have been playing together for the last two seasons and are finally in their correct age group.

Their first game against Old Sils was a one all draw with an amazing reverse stick sweep from Ashton Azzarpardi grabbing the equaliser with the last hit of the match. The back line defence of Jack Woods and Jack Longmore and newcomer Edward Kobrin in goals, only conceded one goal during the entire tournament, all playing superbly.

The second game against Stratford saw Ashton score his second goal making it a one-nil win to the Adders. He then went on to score against Bromsgrove, as did ‘Hat Trick Jack Hobbs’ making it a four nil win. Jack's best goal had to be the one nil win over Sutton, where he received the ball on the move and struck it home very powerfully.

The midfield dynamo Isabelle White worked tirelessly throughout the games and was well supported by Lewis Twigger, Emily Bewsher, Ethan Connor and Ellen Simmons.

Being undefeated meant that the side were tournament winners!
