Adders U12 Warwickshire Minis

Sunday the 1st October 2017 saw the first of the Warwickshire Mini Hockey tournaments of the season with the  U12s travelling over to Sutton. This was a brand new team with several newbies in the side all making their first Adders Tournament appearance.

The tournament began well with an excellent 3-1 victory over Stratford. Goals from newcomer, Will Simmons, Sophie Bates and Josh Gurney sealed an excellent victory. There then followed a narrow defeat to Old Silhs when a draw would have been a fairer result. Following that defeat the team had a hard fought 1-1 draw against Bromsgove before they were beaten by 2-0 by a more experienced Sutton side.
Jacob Trollope was always cool under pressure for the team, while Darcy Tunnicliffe and Imogen Walters had excellent debuts in defence. Ellis Orchard, also debuting for the team, worked his Adders socks off in midfield. Evie Wallbank showed her versatility by playing in the forward line and also in defence and Neve Connor displayed some excellent leadership skills as she captained the team for the first time.
A special mention has to go to Kyle Crouch for his display of excellent keeping and bravery in the Adders goal.
Despite being a new team, the side got better as the tournament progressed and the team is already looking forward to the next tournament in November.
