Atherstone Hockey Club, believes that every member who contributes to the running and sustainability of the club must be encouraged and appreciated in an equal and fair manner. These rewards, Atherstone Hockey Club passes on to their club member, can be used towards gift vouchers or new kit.
The Club, using the guidance detailed within this policy, will award points to individuals who contribute to the club above and beyond just playing. These points can then be converted into rewards.
Under this policy, every club or family member who contribute within the scheme parameters over the season, will be rewarded by Atherstone Hockey Club.
Purpose
The purpose of rewarding club members is to encourage and strive towards club excellence, whether through coaching, personal achievements or giving time to help run the club. The club believes that through regular recognition of club members and subsequent reward, it will help encourage members to get involved, further club values, promote a better culture, and improve performance/personal development.
Scope
The Scope of this policy expands to every club member who is recognised within Atherstone Hockey Club, including family.
Guidelines
A club member will be rewarded for their efforts made towards Atherstone Hockey Club’s performance, administration, coaching and fund raising.
Points when converted, will be for use only within the club and do not have a cash equivalent.
Points under this scheme, will not be awarded for any paid roles. i.e. Paid coaches
Atherstone Hockey Club believes that every club member is equal to them, and every club member must be gifted equally without favouritism. Atherstone Hockey Club will not allow and tolerate any kind of bias for club members.
Atherstone Hockey Club will strive to take action against the individual/team who promotes favouritism and guarantees club members to maintain equality.
Members will receive a “thank you” card confirming the rewarding of points at their respective end of season events.
Points may be gifted to other members if the receiving member wishes, but must put in writing to the rewards administrator.
Umpires will receive separate consideration given that they already receive a match fee.
Points to be matched to input/output results (depending on role) rather than attendance at meetings with discretion to be given by committee.
Points will be allocated from 1st May to 30th April each year.
All participants of DofE, will not allocated points whilst undertaking their volunteering within the club. This depends on the timescale allocated to the relevant award that they are taking part in ie; Bronze, Silver, Gold

Atherstone Hockey Club’ supports the reward category within the listed performance requirements as follows:
Reward Guidelines
A minimum of 3 months contribution to achieve points is required, unless the volunteering is above and beyond for the club. For example, taking part in Santa Sleigh collection or a one-off event for Atherstone Adders Club.
Before distributing the rewards, the authorised administrator will award, (using the guidance below) and collate points before consulting with the committee on an annual basis for approval.
To be reviewed annually by committee in that the scheme is attaining its purpose for the club and financially sustainable.
Shop administrator to order rewards item(s) and make purchase on behalf. Treasurer to reclaim via an invoice to individual purchaser where there is a short fall in cost.
